Full New Zealand property or valuation property degrees may be recognised to qualify as a Salesperson and Licensee. New Zealand registered valuers, and members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors maybe recognised as well.

Applicants will be required to successfully complete a short assessment before meeting the educational requirements of Salesperson, and Licensee. The assessment is not required for current Salespeople.
Non-property degrees or part-degrees are not recognised as meeting the educational requirements of Salesperson, and Licensee. You will need to complete the Salesperson’s Course, National Certificates, and National Diploma.
If you are employed by a licensed real estate company, you can access on job training to have your current skills and competencies assessed.

Conditions
Cross credit applications will not be accepted without the following documentation:
- Application form
- Certified copies of degree, diploma, or certificate awarded
- Official transcript, academic record, or record of learning listing subjects studied and marks or grades obtained
- Proof of name change (if applicable)
- Certified copy of registration as a valuer (if applicable)
- Application fee.
Do not send the originals. The academic record must have the recognised logo of the learning institution, state the date your qualification was conferred or completed and show each paper and the mark. If your qualification is not in your official name please support your application with copies of official name change documents.
Your signature is required as your permission for REINZ to proceed and that you agree to pay the application fee.
The application fee is non-refundable.
